Your average Iron Chestacean of Daybreak Shore is very well aware of the importance of disguise. They use steel chests found on the beach as their houses, and as a bonus they can easily prey on travelers who rejoice at the sight of their newly found "treasure chests."

Chestaceans use the advanced hunting technique of attracting humans or animals with mimicry before attacking. While their natural shells often provide adequate defense, they constantly search for something harder to protect their bodies. As such, these creatures compete fiercely with one another to get the most expensive-looking chest when cargo washes up from shipwrecks on Windhill Shores.

Some Large Lobsters have taken to hiding themselves in conch shells in much the same way their crab relatives have done for generations. These are known as Hermit Lobsters. Their bodies gradually grow until they fit tightly in their shells, to the point that casting off the shell becomes difficult. Because they believe that their hard shells will protect them, they will not hesitate to attack opponents stronger than them. Their flesh is often used as bait for wolves because it gives off a powerful stench.
