Undead were created through intermingling of Dark Power and the essence of death. Zombies, one of the main types of Undead, are beings whose souls have been removed, leaving behind only a ravenous, mindless monster. Even coming near Plague Zombies, which carry infectious disease, is something other creatures will want to avoid.

The first known Zombie Mutt was created the day the flourishing commercial city of Turayne was destroyed by the Shadowmancers of Sylaveth. All inhabitants of the prosperous village were drained of their life force and killed or turned into zombies by Adentus. And, sadly, their faithful dogs did not escape this fate. Even now as mindless zombies, these dogs will not attack their owners.
