In this guide, we'll explain what Weapon Mastery is, how to use it and how to improve your character's Weapon Mastery. For more guides about a variety of topics in TL, please check our Throne & Liberty Guides Database. What Is Weapon Mastery in Throne & Liberty? In Throne and Liberty, Weapon Mastery is a mechanic that allows you to gradually become more proficient with your equipped weapons, enhancing your combat prowess by providing passive buffs. Each weapon type in the game has its own Weapon Mastery tree, and the bonuses will only be active while that weapon is actively equipped (unlike normal weapon passives, which continue to apply when you've swapped to your other weapon). How to Increase Weapon Mastery You slowly gain Weapon Mastery XP for a weapon type by earning normal XP while that weapon type is equipped. If you have a secondary weapon equipped, it will receive 50% of the XP that your currently active weapon receives. When you earn enough Weapon Mastery XP, you can spend it to unlock new passives in the Weapon Mastery tree. To access the Weapon Mastery tree for your equipped weapons, open the Skills menu (open the main menu by pressing F10 or Esc, then click Skills, or simply press K). You can then access your Weapon Mastery trees by selecting the weapon icons between your Active and Passive Skills. Here, you can also see what your current Weapon Mastery level is, and your progress towards the next level. Each rank-up allows you to choose one more Weapon Mastery passive. How to Access Weapon Mastery in Throne & Liberty How to Use Weapon Mastery in Throne & Liberty Every Weapon Mastery tree in Throne & Liberty has three branches, each of which is more geared towards a certain playstyle or aspect of gameplay. For example, the Dagger tree has branches for Disguise (makes you better at defending and evading damage), Poison (enhances your Poison DoTs) and Assassination (focused on improving raw damage output). It's up to you if you want to go all-in with one branch, or mix and match between them. The branches are linear, so if you want to unlock the passive at the end of the branch, you must unlock everything before it first. Effects you have already unlocked are highlighted in purple. Currently available effects are shown by an upwards-pointing arrow. Click an effect with the arrow shown to activate it. Increasing Weapon Mastery in Throne & Liberty Activating a Weapon Mastery effect costs a sum of Sollant. You can deactivate an effect to get your point back and spend it somewhere else, but this will also cost 10,000 Sollant per deactivation.
